OPM Announces Fall Tour With The Expendables and Rebelution
***
OPM have announced the dates for their upcoming Fall tour with The
Expendables and Rebelution. The tour will unites some of the biggest
acts in the California rock-reggae scene for a two month tour kicking
off September 15th, 2008 in Fresno, California and running through
October 28th in Boise, ID.
OPM is gearing up for the release of their fourth studio album “Golden
State of Mind”, which will see release through Suburban Noize Records on
September 2nd, 2008. The album is jam packed with knockout
collaborations with reggae legend Pato Baton, Cypress Hill's Sen Dog,
Jim Perkins from Dumbluck and Suburban Noize alumni Big B, DJ Product
(HedPe) and Johnny Richter (Kottonmouth Kings).
OPM’s “Golden State of Mind” is poised to bring the band some of their
biggest success at radio. The single “Dirty White”, which is exclusively
available for streaming via www.OpmDen.com, is racking up monstrous
spins on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Faction channel, while the track
“Runaway” is grabbing air time on Hard Drive Radio, alongside rock
staples like Hinder and Buckcherry. The album’s diversity allows it to
fit in with mainstream rock staples and its laid back rhythm and grooves
puts them in league with the likes of Sublime, 311, Pepper and Red Hot
Chili Peppers.
OPM's laid back hyrbid style of rock has sold more than 1 million units
sold worldwide since 1999. The group’s debut album "Menace To Sobriety”
stormed rock radio with the international skateboarder's anthem, “Heaven
is a Halfpipe”, which became the #1 most requested track on LA's KROQ
and won the highly acclaimed Kerrang “Single of the Year” award. Since
then the band signed with independent powerhouse Suburban Noize Records
and harvested a devoted grass roots following with 2004’s underground
classic "ForTheMasses" and 2006’s "California Poppy" that has allowed
them to pack clubs across the country.
